Just hit 50 prompt requests on my writing blog, here's the one change that did it
I used to just write whatever came to mind when someone asked for a prompt, usually a single sentence with no hook. About 3 months ago I started framing every prompt as a tiny conflict plus a weird setting, like 'two baristas find a live grenade in the tip jar.' Now people actually reply with stories instead of just upvoting and moving on, so what's the one thing that changed how you write prompts for others?

The conflict plus weird setting thing is the whole trick. "Live grenade in the tip jar" already tells me the story beats and the tone. Without that hook, a prompt is just homework. I started adding one rule or twist to every request and replies tripled.
