A safety guy on a site in Dallas told me I was being too careful with my lifts and slowing the whole job down.

My cousin's crew in Houston had that same talk about speed. Then a guy got his foot crushed by a load that wasn't secured right. Seeing that hospital bill changed my whole view on what "too slow" really means.

Too careful" is wild. That safety guy is exactly why so many places feel rushed and sketchy now. It's like @patricia_gonzalez said, that mindset is how people get hurt. I see it everywhere, from driving to how stores are run, just pushing speed over doing things right. Makes you wonder what his job even is if he's complaining about safety.
