Switched to sectioning clips instead of butterfly clips for foils

I was using those big butterfly clips for years thinking they were fine, but after a 6-hour foil session last Tuesday my hands were cramping up. Got a pack of those metal sectioning clips from Sally's for like $8 and my wrist feels 100 times better, plus the foils actually stay put now. Anyone else made the switch or have another clip hack?

Yeah I used those big butterfly clips for like two years and thought my hands were just getting old or something. Turns out I was just using the wrong tool for the job, go figure. My fingers would lock up in a claw shape after about hour four, pretty sure I looked like I was trying to summon a demon every time I grabbed a foil. Now I can actually feel my fingertips the next day, which is nice.

Switching to those metal clips saved my wrist too, huge difference for long foil sessions!

Stick with the plastic ones honestly. The metal clips always slip on me after a couple hours especially when the foil gets wet. Had three different brands fail mid-session and lost two rolls of film because of it. Plastic grips better for my setup at least.
