Spent 45 minutes trying to figure out why my foil highlights were bleeding, turned out I was holding the brush at the wrong angle the whole time
I must have redone three sections before a coworker walked over and said hey you're dragging the color sideways instead of straight, has anyone else had a basic technique suddenly backfire on them like that?

...and honestly I'm not convinced it's that deep lol like yeah angle matters but 45 minutes? @tyler854 you saying it clicks eventually but I've been doing fine for years and never thought twice about it. People act like a millimeter off ruins everything but half the time it's just product quality or the foil itself. I mean sure maybe you were dragging wrong but sounds more like overthinking than some huge technique flaw lmao.

Wait why would the angle even matter that much though? Honestly I had the same thing happen with balayage, thought I was going crazy. Tbh its wild how much a tiny tilt in your wrist can mess up the whole section. Ngl I think most stylists have that moment where something clicks and you realize youve been doing it slightly wrong for months.
