The barista who told me my coffee order was boring and I took it personally

Went to this little coffee shop in Portland like 6 months ago and ordered my usual black drip coffee. This barista just looked at me and said 'you know that's the most boring drink on the menu, right?' with this half smile. I was kind of offended at first but then I asked her what she would pick instead. She made me some oat milk latte with lavender syrup and I swear it woke up my taste buds. Has anyone else had a stranger just call out their routine like that and actually improve your morning?

Yeah, lowkey is right lol. Feel bad for the barista though, dealing with that kind of customer must have been rough.
