TIL a customer told me I mop like I'm mad at the floor and it changed my whole cleaning routine

She said I was just pushing dirt around instead of actually lifting it. After she showed me the figure-8 pattern she uses, I started doing it that way at home and the floors actually look clean now without streaks. Has anyone else gotten random cleaning advice from a stranger that stuck with them?

Haven't we all gotten advice like that at some point? A lady at the grocery store once told me I was cutting onions wrong - she showed me to leave the root attached and slice from the top down. I do it that way every time now, no more tears. It's funny how a total stranger can just walk up and fix something you've been doing wrong your whole life. Makes you wonder what other simple things we're all messing up without realizing it.
