Swapped my weekly planning spreadsheet for a plain notebook, weird how it stuck

I used to build these elaborate content calendars in Google Sheets with color coded columns and auto filters. Took about two hours every Sunday night to set up, and I'd abandon it by Tuesday. Then last month my laptop died mid-planning and I grabbed a $3 notebook from the drugstore. Now I just write down three video ideas per day with a pen, cross them off when done. Has anyone else found that simpler tools actually get you to post more consistently, or is it just me?

I used to be fully on the opposite side of this, thought the more organized the system the better. My old setup had status drop downs, conditional formatting, the works. But you know what, after a few weeks of watching that thing go stale by Wednesday, I get why the notebook works. There's something about the physical act of writing three ideas and then scratching them out that feels more real, less like I'm just feeding a machine. I still keep my spreadsheet for the big picture, but the daily stuff lives on paper now. It's not that I think simple is always better, it's just that for this one habit, the friction was the point.
