One fan's comment about pacing stuck with me more than any analytics
Back in March I posted a 12 minute video and a subscriber named Diane left a comment saying she had to pause halfway to make dinner, then came back and finished it. It made me realize watch time graphs don't capture that kind of real life interruption, has anyone else gotten feedback like that that reshaped how you structure your longer content?
Pause moments are real data. I started adding a "natural break" around the 5 minute mark in anything over 10 minutes, like a chapter change or a scene shift so people feel okay stopping there. Call it out too, something like "if you need to go do stuff, this is a decent spot to duck out." Folks actually come back when you give them permission.
