Guy at a Pittsburgh meetup said 'post daily or you're dead' and I think that advice is hurting small creators

I was at a creator meetup in Pittsburgh back in March and this guy with about 80k subs cornered me for 20 minutes about how anyone posting less than once a day is invisible. I told him my channel is 900 subs and I post twice a week, and he actually laughed and asked why I even bother. Here's the thing though, I looked him up after and his last upload was 4 months ago, and he's lost about 2k subs since. So maybe the daily grind isn't the magic bullet people keep selling. Curious if anyone else has gotten big results from posting less but making each one better.
