That week the moon landing debate took over my whole family dinner

My cousin brought it up last Thanksgiving, said he watched a video about the flag waving. My uncle, a retired engineer, pulled out a textbook right there at the table. For three hours, they went back and forth about light angles and vacuum conditions. It got so loud the neighbors probably heard. Ever have a simple holiday meal turn into a full blown evidence review?

These dinner table fights, like @knight.dylan's moon landing one, just show how people pick their own facts now.

Sounds like a normal Thursday. My family does the same thing but with 9/11. Someone always brings up the steel beams. Then my aunt, who worked in the city, starts yelling about what she saw. It ruins the pie every time. Some people just need to feel smart at the dinner table.

My cousin's 9/11 story last year finally shut my uncle up.

My uncle still argues about the moon landing at Thanksgiving.
