I used some crushed bottle glass in a mix for a client who wanted a 'green' finish, not realizing how much it would sparkle in the sun. They loved it, but now their backyard patio looks like a tiny dance floor at noon. Just a heads up if you're trying to be eco-friendly with additives!

Sealed mine with matte finish, toned it down.

Actually, the bigger worry is the tiny glass bits in some sparkly mixes. They can cut feet even after sealing. A matte top coat helps, but picking a mix without sharp stuff is key.

Did you have to tell the client about possible glare or safety problems? Sparkly surfaces can be tricky in direct sun. I'd worry about it being a distraction or even a hazard.
