Watch your comms line if you're working near the old Miami River bridge pilings

Last week my buddy's line got snagged and cut on some rebar we didn't see, he lost comms for a solid 90 seconds before his tender got him back. Anyone else had issues with hidden debris there?

Heard a crew talking about that same spot last month, said they found a whole shopping cart down there.

Wait, did you mean the old Flagler Street bridge? The Miami River has a few spots like that, but the worst rebar I've seen is usually by the old railroad pilings further east. What depth was your buddy working at when it happened?

That 90 second comms loss is no joke. Was your buddy on a hard-wire system or wireless when his line got cut? I've seen wireless get spotty down there, but a physical cut on a hard-wire is a whole different level of bad news. Makes you wonder what else is buried in the silt besides rebar and shopping carts.
