Showerthought: I just read that most of the world's internet cables are on the ocean floor
Found it in a random article about undersea infrastructure. It's wild to think we're down there working near the literal backbone of the web. Anyone ever done a job on a cable repair ship?

My cousin did that for a few years and the stories were wild. He had a raccoon family living in an attic he had to work in once.

Ever see one of those guys up a pole in a storm? They're out there fixing lines in the rain while we're inside complaining the internet is slow. They also have to deal with angry pets, crawl through nasty crawl spaces, and untangle decades of bad wiring in some houses. It's a tough gig for sure.
