Finally got my hands on a graded copy of Amazing Fantasy 15 for about $200. It's a low grade, but it's mine.

Yeah I was the same way until I saw one in person.

Exactly, that number can really mess with your head. I had to sell a book I loved just because it got a lower grade than I wanted. Felt so stupid later. The real magic is in holding the thing, seeing the old pages and that classic cover art up close. A low grade copy you actually own beats a high grade picture you stare at online any day. Who are we even keeping these perfect books for anyway?

Graded copy of Amazing Fantasy 15" is the key part for me. I used to be the guy who only cared about high grades, like a 9.0 or above, and thought anything less wasn't worth it. But seeing a real copy, even a low one, in someone's hands changes that. It's the actual book, the start of everything, not just a number on a label. Now I get that owning a piece of history, at any grade you can afford, is the whole point.
