Wow, that's a big shift. I get it though, sometimes you just need the work and a paycheck is a paycheck. The soil sampling itself is probably still good, honest work. It's just the company name on the check that's different. Bet you'll learn a ton about their whole operation from the ground up, literally.

Man, I was in that exact spot last fall. What helped me was just focusing on the craft itself, you know? I treated it like a paid course in their methods. I kept a little notebook of every different field type and what their lab results showed. Ended up being a pretty solid reference later on.
