When I was 22 I wrote a whole blog post about how corporate hotels kill local character and I meant every word. Last March I got laid off from my indie gig, rent was due, and I took a front desk job at the Marriott in Tampa. I still believe what I wrote, but now I hand out reward points and say 'have a great stay' about 40 times a shift. Has anyone else taken a job they used to write angry posts about?
