The number on my city's recycling flyer made me sit down at the kitchen table
I was flipping through the city recycling flyer that came in the mail last week and it said only about 9% of all plastic ever made gets recycled, which stopped me cold in my chair. I sat there looking at my bin full of yogurt cups and felt like I had been lied to by my own habits for a decade. So what is the move here, do I stop buying the stuff or just get honest about what the bin really does?
