Just realized my neighbor's gas mower in Phoenix ran 3 hours every Saturday all summer
I counted it from my porch for a month straight, and that one lawn put out more fumes than my whole block's electric stuff combined. Has anyone actually gotten a neighbor to switch without a full on fight?
Ran a small engine repair shop for years before this, and 3 hours a week is way less than you'd think for a push mower on a normal lawn. Engine barely breaks a sweat at an hour per cut, so that's a lot of idle time in your count. The real math is gallons burned per lawn, not hours. That said, the guy is still burning gas every Saturday while you sit there with a clipboard, so maybe just bring him a cold drink and ask what he hates about electric.
