Had a neighbor call out my composting setup last month

She said I was putting in stuff that would attract rats like cooked food and bread, so I switched to just veggie scraps and yard waste. Anyone else get roasted by a neighbor for their bin?

Buddy of mine got a whole lecture from his neighbor about how eggshells would attract raccoons.

Buddy of mine had his whole compost pile dumped out by raccoons after someone told him eggshells were fine. Took him a week to get them to stop coming back.
