Took me 4 months to figure out my garage humidity gauge was stuck

I kept seeing 55% on that cheap dial gauge and thought my dehumidifier was working, turns out it was jammed at that reading since last winter. Anyone else had a simple tool lie to them for way too long?

Ha! I once had a bathroom scale that insisted I weighed the same for two months - felt great till I stepped on a different one.

OH MY GOD, YES. That is SO frustrating! I had a digital thermometer in my kitchen that got stuck at 72 degrees for like three months. I kept thinking my AC was working way better than it actually was.

My buddy had a old meat thermometer that read 150 degrees for a week straight and he thought his fridge was broken.
