Sliced into my 500th onion at the diner on 5th and realized I have a weird party trick now
Manager bet me a shift beer I couldn't do it without crying and I won, but the prep cook just stared at me like I was some kind of freak. Anyone else hit a dumb milestone that nobody outside the kitchen would ever care about?
My buddy worked at a pizza place and got so good at catching dough mid toss that the owner started calling him "the wall" and made him do it for customers. Dude hated it but he says the muscle memory thing is real, your hands just know what to do after a while. 500 onions is a lot of tears you didn't shed, that's basically a superpower.
