I used to think therapy was just for people with 'real' problems until my Tuesday session last week
My therapist asked me to just talk about my day, and I ended up crying for 20 minutes about my morning commute. Has anyone else had a moment where they realized they were carrying way more than they thought?

It's funny how the small things can pile up without us even noticing. I've seen this happen with friends who finally break down over a spilled coffee or a lost set of keys. It's never about the coffee. It's about all the other stuff we're trying to hold together, and that one little thing just tips the scale. Makes you wonder what else we're all carrying around without giving it a name.

My friend cried for twenty minutes last week because her toast burned. What's the smallest thing that's ever set you off?

Last year I dropped a full carton of eggs on my kitchen floor and just sat down next to the mess and cried. It really is never about the one thing that finally breaks you. That burnt toast was probably just the last piece of a really heavy load.
