Just realized the difference between cheap and good seam tape

Used the same budget tape for 5 years until I tried a roll of TacFast last month on a big commercial job in Dallas. The seam didn't even show after stretching, no wrinkling at all. Has anyone else switched tape brands and seen a real difference?

Used TacFast once and somehow glued myself to the floor for 20 minutes.

Spencer's story about getting glued to the floor sounds about right for that brand. The tac is aggressive enough that you really have to plan your layout before you lay it down. It's a trade-off worth making though when you see how clean the finished job looks.

Did you try prying yourself up or just kinda sit there accepting your fate? I've had that happen with cheaper tapes where the adhesive melts in the heat and bonds to everything. TacFast is definitely way better for stretch, but you gotta move fast because once it grabs, it grabs hard. I switched from generic to that brand last year and the difference on seams alone saved me so much rework.
