Finally gave up on my old hand seam roller

Used that thing for a decade, swore by it. Did a big office job in Fresno last month, seams kept popping. Boss made me switch to a 100 pound power stretcher for the seams. Lost a full day fixing my mess, cost me about $400 in labor. Anyone still using a hand roller for commercial glue down?

Yeah, the part about seams failing is so real. My buddy had this happen on a hotel lobby job last year. He was using his trusty hand roller on a big sheet vinyl glue down. Three months later, the main traffic seam just peeled right up. The hotel manager was furious. He had to eat the cost of a full replacement and rent a power stretcher to do it right. That little roller just doesn't get enough pressure for the glue to really grab.

Hand rollers just can't handle commercial glue down. Seen too many seams fail. Power stretcher is the only way to go now.

Wait, seams actually fail from that?
