Blew a miter joint on a kitchen cabinet install yesterday
I was fitting crown molding in a client's kitchen over on Maple Street and my miter saw drifted just a hair. The whole piece ended up with a gap you could fit a quarter through. Had to recut the entire run and wasted about 40 bucks worth of poplar. Anyone else keep a sacrificial test board handy for every cut?

Held off on spending for a laser guide for years but finally broke down after a job like that. Best money I ever spent for crown work honestly makes a huge difference on the accuracy.

Years? Man I would've caved after the first crooked crown, you got some serious patience.
