Tripped over my RRSP contribution at the last minute and it worked out

I was at my desk in Toronto on March 1st, 11pm, just about to close my browser when I realized I hadn't put $2000 into my RRSP for the tax break. I scrambled through Wealthsimple's app on my phone while my cat sat on the keyboard, managed to get the transfer done at 11:47pm. Anyone else cut it that close or am I the only procrastinator here?

Ha, that cat really nailed the timing for you. I notice this is how half my life goes now, every deadline gets met with a 15 minute panic window while something ridiculous is happening in the background. It's like our brains decided planning ahead is a myth and the real skill is just being good at last minute scrambles. The weird part is when it works out, it kind of reinforces the habit, so next year I'll probably be doing the exact same thing at 11pm with my dog on my lap. Glad you got it done though, that tax receipt feels better than the stress of missing it feels bad.
