PSA: Overheard a customer say 'the wire is just wire' about our Cat6 run
Honestly, it was a new build in Henderson, and the homeowner was arguing with the builder to skip the structured wiring to save cash. Tbh it just reminded me how much we know that they don't. What's the best way you explain the value of a proper install to someone who thinks it's all the same?

See it all the time. People cheap out on the stuff they don't see, then wonder why their house feels broken. Good wiring is the quiet work that lets everything else be loud.

My uncle in Phoenix tried to save money on his wiring. Now his internet cuts out every time the AC kicks on. I tell people it's like plumbing, you can't just use a garden hose for everything in the house. A good Cat6 run gives you headroom for the next ten years of faster gear.

Tell them a garden hose works fine for plumbing too, until you try to take a real shower. That cheap wire is a bottleneck waiting to happen, and you can't fix it without tearing up the walls later.
