Update: My bandsaw blade snapped mid break down of a whole ribeye and I had to finish with a hand saw
Happened last Tuesday during a big order and I lost about 20 minutes swapping it out with customers waiting. Anyone got a brand of blade that actually holds up on bone in?
Man that brings back bad memories. Had the same thing happen about a year ago on a Saturday rush, blade popped halfway through a rack of short ribs and I stood there like an idiot holding a half cut rack. Finished the rest with a hacksaw I keep in the back, which of course left bone dust everywhere and chewed up the meat. Took me almost half an hour to get back on track and the ticket times were trash the rest of the day. Nothing worse than a blade that cuts great for two weeks then gives up the second it hits real bone. Been gun shy about cheap blades ever since.
