My uncle in Duluth swore my best friend would come crawling back. That was 3 years ago and she still hasn't.
When I cut ties with my best friend of 9 years over a money thing, my uncle in Duluth shrugged and promised she would reach out inside 6 weeks once she missed me. It has been 3 years, she moved to Boise, and the only thing that crawled back was a Venmo request for $40 I owed her from a concert. Has anyone else had a relative call the ending wrong like that?

That sucks, and the Venmo request part honestly stings more than the silence. Relatives love to act like they know how these things play out, but they are not the ones living through it. Mine said something similar once and it took years for me to stop waiting on a call that was never coming.
