My sister saw my weekly spread and said it looked like a 'to-do list for a robot'

We were at her place in Denver last weekend. She just doesn't get that the whole point is the structure, it's what keeps me from forgetting my dentist appointment. Anyone else have family who just doesn't understand the system?

Remember my mom calling my color coded calendar "sad" because it wasn't spontaneous enough. Some people just see the boxes, not the peace of mind they create. I'd be lost without my system, honestly.

Wait, she said that while you were visiting her place? So she's looking at your system in her own home and still giving you a hard time about it? That's wild. My brain would just stop working if I didn't write stuff down, I'd forget my own birthday. How do people like that even function without a list?

Ever try showing them the actual mess your brain is without a list? I once made my sister a map of my thoughts for one grocery trip, all the side tracks and forgotten stuff. She finally got it when she saw the chaos on paper.
