TIL that hostels in Prague still have key deposit systems from the 90s that make no sense
Stayed at this place near the old town square last month and they wanted a $20 cash deposit just for a room key. Not a card hold, not a digital key, actual cash lol. The front desk lady said they've been doing it since 1998 and never changed. Has anyone else run into super oldschool policies at hostels that just seem outdated?

Wish my 90s memory was a museum, I just have bad photos and regrets.
