He swore by this tip for years, saying airlines drop prices midweek. I checked for a trip in April and a Tuesday flight was $189, while the same one on Friday was $295. I booked it and it worked out perfectly. What other specific booking day tricks have you guys found?

Check the time of day you book, not just the day of the week. I've seen prices jump overnight for the same Tuesday flight. It seems like they update fares late at night sometimes.
