A hostel in Lisbon had a free 'leftovers' shelf from the breakfast buffet

People would leave unopened yogurt or fruit they didn't eat, and you could grab it for lunch. Anyone know other cities where hostels do this consistently?

Okay but hear me out, Charles_mitchell. That shelf is the only thing keeping my grocery bill under control some weeks. Let's just say my cooking skills are a bigger threat to my wallet than inflation. So yeah, I'm gonna fight for my right to slightly stale pastries and mystery soup.
