Picked the $3 bag of frozen veggies over fresh at the Dallas HEB, zero regrets
Last Tuesday I was staring down a $40 grocery bill and had to choose between a $4 bag of fresh green beans or the $3 frozen mix from the store brand. I grabbed the frozen one because my roommate said fresh would go bad by Friday anyway, and honestly it lasted me through three meals including a stir fry and a soup. The texture was fine once I cooked it longer than the bag said, and I saved enough to grab a loaf of bread for the week. Anyone else swear by frozen over fresh when the budget gets tight, or am I the only one who does this?

Ha! Frozen veggies are basically the adult version of a cheat code... I grabbed a bag of that same mix last month and it sat in my freezer through a whole heat wave before I finally used it. Fresh stuff would've been a science experiment by day three.
