Found out Venus flytraps only grow wild in one tiny spot in the Carolinas

I was reading a random reddit thread last night and someone dropped the fact that these plants only naturally grow within a 75 mile radius around Wilmington, NC. I always figured they were all over the swampy south, but turns out the rest are cultivated or invasive. Has anyone else been shocked by how specific a plant's native range can be?
