Finally got my orchid to rebloom after 18 months of nothing

Turns out it needed a much bigger temperature drop at night than I was giving it, like a solid 15-degree difference. Anyone have tips for managing that indoors without freezing yourself out?

Kimmurphy might call it a hassle, but that nightly chill is the secret handshake. A plant cart on wheels makes the back-and-forth easy.

That sounds like way too much hassle.

Oh man, that temperature swing is a killer. I ended up moving mine to a cooler room at night, like a spare bedroom or even a basement landing if you have one. Just wheel the stand or table it's on right back to its sunny spot in the morning. A cheap thermometer helped me stop guessing.
