The bookmark trick that fixed our monthly meeting debates
Our group kept re-litigating the same chapters at every meetup, so I started assigning each member a different colored bookmark with their name and one question to answer about the ending. That cut our 90 minute debates down to 45 minutes last Tuesday because everyone had a lane. Has anyone else tried role-based prompts to stop the same two people from dominating?

My book club tried something like that once but we gave everyone a color coded sticky note for the page they were most confused about. Took us twenty minutes just to peel them all off and re-stick them because half the people put theirs on the wrong chapter. Then one lady lost hers in her coffee and we spent ten minutes trying to figure out whose question was on the soggy pink note. Eventually we just talked about the coffee stains instead of the book.
