My Catan group of 6 fell apart in March, so I hosted a 2 player game night in my garage and it worked

Catan is built for 3 to 4 players, so a 2 player game is not really Catan. The board has no trading and the robber just hammers whoever is behind. You can play it that way but it turns into a totally different game. If you want a 2 player game that actually works, pick something made for two people. Catan will just feel broken and your garage night will stop working real fast.
