Just realized my 90-day planner was making me worse at planning
Everyone swears by those detailed hourly planners, but I spent 3 months in Dallas filling every slot and just ended up stressed when life got in the way. I switched to a simple notebook where I only write down 3 tasks each morning, capped at what I can actually finish before 2 PM. Turns out my warehouse crew works better with the same approach, one priority at a time, and my whole week feels lighter now. The catch is I had to ignore all the fancy layout videos online and go bare bones. Has anyone else ditched a popular system for something dumber and seen better results?

The part about "filling every slot" got me, because that's exactly what I did with a color coded system I found on Pinterest. I had the whole month mapped out, down to when to water my plants. Then my dog got sick and needed meds three times a day, and the whole thing fell apart by Tuesday. Now I just keep a sticky note on the fridge with the day's one big thing, and honestly it's a relief. It's like the more complicated the system, the more room there is for it to break on you.

Gotta say though, the sticky note thing sounds pretty close to what everyone ends up doing eventually, even with the fancy systems. The color coded thing is fun for like a week, but the dog meds thing just proves that life's gonna throw a wrench in any plan, no matter how pretty it looks.
