Coffee shop stranger in Boise changed how I think about job endings

She told me she walked out of a 12 year teaching gig after one bad Monday, and hearing her laugh about it instead of crying made me realize I've been treating my own resignation like a funeral when it could be a release, so has anyone else flipped from mourning a job to celebrating the exit?

Took me six months after quitting my warehouse supervisor role to stop waking up mad about it. Then one day I realized the anger was just me holding onto a place that had already replaced me within a week. Now I look back and laugh at how seriously I took it, same as that teacher, and it feels way lighter.
