That 30 minute bottom bracket press took me 4 hours in Dayton
I kept fighting a creak that would not go away, turned out the frame shell was slightly out of spec and no amount of grease or torque would fix it. Anyone else wasted a full afternoon on a press fit BB that should have been a quick swap?

...and honestly the real trick is to check the shell alignment with a straightedge before you even start, I learned that one the hard way after I pressed a new BB into a frame that was twisted from a bad weld, creaked for months before I figured it out.
