Sideburn symmetry had me stumped for weeks, but today it clicked.

Getting those angles right is more art than science, lol.

Oh totally, that cheekbone or jawline you use as a guide makes all the difference. I found if I start by following the natural line down from the side of my glasses, it gets me close, then I just tweak from there. It really is one of those things you just have to feel out.

It took me forever to find my right spot along the jaw, I kept going too high. Once I figured out to use that curve right under the bone as my main marker, everything got way easier. Now it's all muscle memory, my hand just goes to the same place every time without me even trying. Funny how you practice something enough and your body just takes over, lol.

Glasses can slide around though, right? That line might change during the day. Lucas Kelly has the right idea about finding a guide, but maybe a fixed bone is better than a moving frame. The corner of your jaw where it turns up is a solid spot that doesn't budge. You practice hitting that same anchor point and the muscle memory really locks in.
