My clippers died mid fade on a Saturday, had 3 guys waiting
Ngl my Wahl senior just cut out halfway through a skin fade last Saturday with a full shop. I finished the kid up with my backup Andis and he could tell the difference in the blend. Any of you keep a spare pair charged and ready, or am I just asking for trouble keeping two on the counter?
Last month I had a guy in the chair for a 4 o'clock and my cordless Andis crapped out right at the lineup, so I know the panic. I used to keep both clippers on the counter like some kind of power move, but all that got me was two dead batteries and a lot of guilt. Now the backup lives in the drawer with its own charger, and the main one stays plugged in anytime I'm not using it. My mentor told me years ago that a barber with one clipper is a barber with a countdown clock. Two on the counter is fine if you actually charge them, otherwise you are just collecting expensive paperweights like I was.
