Picked a local credit union over a big bank for my business account

I was staring down two options for a new business checking account: Chase or a small credit union downtown. Chase had the slick app and tons of branches, but the credit union offered zero monthly fees and free wire transfers. I went with the local place three months ago and honestly, the personal service has been killer. Anyone else make the switch from a big bank to something smaller and actually stick with it?

I used to think smaller banks couldn't compare but the zero fees got me too. Haven't looked back.

Oh man, I gotta push back a little on that. I tried switching to a smaller bank with no fees and honestly it was a nightmare. Their app was constantly glitching out and when I needed to deposit a check from my grandma it took like 5 business days to clear, not the 1 day I get with my regular bank. Plus those free ATM networks always seem to miss the locations I actually use. I ended up paying more in fees from using other ATMs than I would have just sticking with my big bank. And customer service was a joke, waited 45 minutes to talk to someone about a missing deposit. Not for me.

Isn't it funny how one size never fits nobody in real life?
