That stat on sourdough starter discard shocked me this week

I was reading King Arthur Flour's blog Tuesday and they said 50% of home bakers toss their starter discard instead of using it. That's half of us just throwing away perfectly good flour and water. Has anyone else found a go-to use for the discard that actually works?

You bake them with the crackers or just use the dough?

Take that discard and make crackers with it. I've been doing it for years and it's honestly the easiest way to not waste it. Just mix the discard with some melted butter, salt, and whatever seasoning you like - garlic powder or rosemary works great. Roll it out super thin, dock it with a fork, and bake at 350 till it's golden and crispy. They keep for weeks in a tin and taste way better than store bought ones. People always ask me for the recipe when I bring them to parties.
