That conversation with my cousin about pineapple on pizza actually made me question my whole stance on food purity
She said if you can put a lime on a taco you can put a pineapple on a pizza, and honestly I’ve been thinking about that logic for three days now, anyone else ever had a simple food opinion completely dismantled by someone else’s common sense?

Start seeing this pattern a lot where people treat food preferences like some kind of moral code instead of just stuff you eat. Once you realize a pizza is basically a flatbread with stuff on top, the whole argument about what belongs there falls apart pretty fast. Makes you wonder how many other arbitrary rules we follow without ever questioning them.

23 years ago when I first started driving, I'd eat at this place that put pineapple and ham on a pizza under the name "Canadian bacon" and people lost their minds over it. But here's the thing... if you break down what pizza really is, it's just bread with savory stuff on it. So what makes pineapple any weirder than mushrooms or olives or even regular bacon? Nobody gets worked up about those. Why do we pick certain foods to get all moralistic about while ignoring the same arguments for everything else?

Honestly, people act like pineapple on pizza is a personal attack. Tbh, we eat way weirder stuff without thinking twice. Ngl, it's just toppings on bread, the drama is the real joke.
