Saw a neighbor's paver patio in Boise and now I'm rethinking my whole gravel plan
I was walking my dog past a house two streets over in Boise and the guy was out watering his plants, so I asked about his patio. He said he laid 400 sq ft of pavers himself over one long weekend with a rented plate compactor, and it has held up for 6 years with no shifting. Has anyone here gone from gravel to pavers, and was the digging out part as bad as I keep hearing?

Ha, the digging is the easy part for me, it's the leveling that gets old fast. Six years with no shifting is a good sign though, so that guy did something right. Gravel is way less work but pavers do look a lot better, so I get the temptation.
