The guy in Denver who called my car 'the glider' and then lost my keys for 45 minutes
Two summers ago I shipped my old Camry from Denver to my brother's place in Sacramento, and the dispatcher I talked to kept calling it 'the glider' because the front bumper was held on with zip ties. When the driver finally showed up 3 days late, he spent 45 minutes tearing apart his cab looking for my keys, which were in his own cup holder the whole time. He blamed it on 'the elevation messing with his brain.' Has anyone else had a driver who was weirdly charming about totally dropping the ball?
The weird charm might actually be a business move. A guy who yells at you about the keys is a guy you call the company about, but a guy who jokes about elevation brain is a guy you let slide. Same screwup, way less fallout for him.
