Saw a stat that only 4 in 10 people actually read reviews before booking a car shipper, and I don't buy it
I was poking around a moving industry site and it said just 4 out of 10 people read any reviews before they book a car shipper. That seems way off to me, because everyone I know who moved a car last year swore they did their homework first. Maybe the number is real and folks just don't admit it, or maybe the survey only counted certain sites. What do you all think, do most people really skip the reviews or is that stat junk?
Four in ten? That is wild. I would have guessed way higher, like 8 or 9 out of 10, because reading reviews is the first thing most folks do when they pick anything these days, let alone something as pricey as shipping a car. Maybe the survey only looked at one site and missed all the people checking Google and Reddit, idk, but 40 percent just feels low to me.
