Paid $180 for an enclosed transport from Denver to Salt Lake and the car showed up with a cracked windshield
I went with enclosed because it was a brand new car and I didn't want rock chips. The driver called me from a truck stop in Rawlins, Wyoming saying he couldn't make my street, so I met him at a Walmart 20 minutes away. When I walked around the car there was a chip on the passenger side that turned into a 6 inch crack by the time I got home. He said it was already there and his paperwork had no damage noted, so I was stuck. Anyone got a broker that actually does a walk around with you before and after?
Ngl this is why I always take pics of every inch of my car before it goes on the truck. A buddy of mine went through something similar and he read that most of these brokers just hand you a form with nothing marked and once you sign it you're basically agreeing the car was clean. Sounds like your driver knew about that chip and just stayed quiet until you found it yourself. Meeting at a Walmart instead of your place is also a red flag because it gives them an easy way to say the damage happened after drop off. Ask the broker for the condition report they filed at pickup, because if the chip was there when they loaded it should be on that paper. Next time have someone do a full walk around with you and get it in writing before the truck pulls away.
